Art finds you when you're not looking for it. In the middle of a city going somewhere else entirely. It stops you. You don't know why. You can't explain it to anyone later. We write about that, the art that got in without asking, and the people who made it without waiting for permission.

Not a story. Not a feature. Just writing, the kind that happens at odd hours, about nothing in particular and everything at once. The observation that didn't fit anywhere else. This is where it lives, unedited, exactly as it arrived.
Send Poetess one thing that stayed with you lately — a book, a film, a line, a place, a song, a smell, a stranger's face. One thing. One sentence about why. Your name, or not. She reads everything. Write to her: hello@thepoetessco.com
Some people never switched over. Some switched back. These are their stories, and maybe yours too. The life that existed before the feed was slower, louder in different ways, and somehow more present. Then everything moved online and something quiet got left behind. We don't know exactly what it was. But we're documenting the before, the after, and the people still living somewhere between the two.
Photos that didn't end up anywhere. Stories that did.
